Being a member of the Group Reinsurance team I closely worked with the underwriters to evaluate and price the catastrophe risk. Among these activities the following were my main responsibilities: ▪ Coordinator of catastrophe data collection/modelling for the Mediterranean area, the UK, the Americas and the Far East, ensuring accuracy, appropriateness and completeness. ▪ Report production to support corporate underwriters to assess risks and to price them ▪ To estimate the insured losses after an event (event response activity) ▪ To ensure that the necessary output requested by Rating Agencies is delivered I also cooperated in the development of data mining and reporting tools (R, VBA, SQL).
