Claire Furlong

Claire is an innovative, passionate and highly qualified educator with over 25 years experience across all sectors of the Australian Education Industry. She holds a Masters of Education in IT and Educational Leadership, and is a Certified Google Trainer and Innovator. Beyond the school level, she has also served on curriculum review and study design accreditation panels with The Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA), and is an experienced VCE Exam Vetter and Assessor. With expertise in learning design, she leverages the science of learning to design highly effective learning programs for learners of all ages. With an early adopter mindset, Claire has always been at the forefront of tech adoption. As a leader in designing education programs around leveraging AI in the workplace she recognises the essential role that user capability training will play in its adoption. Certified in Google AI and skilled in Microsoft Copilot, she has been working with users nationally to integrate AI technologies into their daily work life to improve effectiveness and boost productivity. Claire is currently an Education Innovation Specialist and the National Beacon School Lead at Datacom. In this role, her responsibilities have included driving the digital transformation process for staff and students within the Beacon School network, and delivering in-person and virtual professional learning and digital strategy consultation to schools nationally through the Datacom Education Horizon Program.
