Development of strategy for new analytical commercial service offerings which provide competitive & operational advantage. Led the Customer Services and Occupational Health Functions following a business restructure prior to the appointment of a new Customer Services Director and the R&D team following the departure of the R&D Director prior to this being integrated in to the Global R&D team.

Chair of the LTG Executive Committee and Scientific meetings. The Group membership has a professional interest in the detection and measurement of alcohol, drugs, poisons and their breakdown products in biological samples, together with the interpretation of these measurements. The aim of the group is to promote the advancement of the science of analytical toxicology for public benefit and education.

Provision of scientific advice to UK and international teams regarding existing and new services. Cross site management of 3 laboratories specialising in urine, hair and oral fluid analysis, ensuring ongoing quality compliance and management of staff. Review of performance against budget and developing collaboration across laboratory sites.

Responsible for the provision of clinical and workplace drugs of abuse services and managerial support for the Therapeutic Drug Monitoring and Clinical Toxicology sections of the Laboratory.

Responsible for day to day activities of the drugs of abuse section and supervision of staff within the section. Liaising with service users to ensure appropriate analytical investigations are performed in clinical and medicolegal cases.
