Claire Morris

Claire’s practice is mostly concerned with the drafting and prosecution of patent applications before the UK and European Patent Offices (EPO), and the handling of post-grant opposition proceedings before the EPO. She represents her clients’ interests in hearings before the EPO and has significant experience advising clients on more general IP issues including design rights. Claire deals with a wide range of technology in the mechanical, electrical and electronic engineering, and optics fields. She has considerable experience in a broad and varied selection of fields, with particular expertise in medical devices, defence and automotive electro-mechanical components. Claire also works on cases relating to production machinery and tooling, seismic exploration and oilfield equipment, couplers and drive systems, semiconductors and nanotechnology. Claire qualified as a Chartered Patent Attorney and European Patent Attorney in 2005.
