Joined company when it had 9 employees, helped oversee growth to more than 70. Led a logistics team ensuring they completed tasks correctly, and in good time. Responsibilities include project planning and implementation. Report directly to company owner. First contact for employees in terms of human resource and administration requests.

• Journey managed PGI Employees and PGI clients travelling to high risk areas. • Liaised with traveller to create itineraries that provided first class security and still met their working requirements. • Organised the deployment of private maritime security teams and equipment onto commercial shipping transiting the Indian Ocean High Risk Area. • Liaised with agents and contacts in multiple countries. • Fast paced and hectic environment that required absolute attention to detail, complete confidentiality and continual monitoring of multiple tasks.

• Initially joined on a graduate traineeship programme involving in-house courses and internal exams. • Responsible for regularly running the extremely fast paced and time pressured day-to-day operations of the branch. • High focus on maintaining efficient use of the rental fleet to maximise profit margins. • Managed junior office members to develop their personal skills, areas included sales, marketing and customer service. • Assisted in the recruitment process of potential new graduates to the training programme, including conducting one-on-one in depth interviews of candidates.

• Running training sessions twice a week after re-establishing a Tae Kwon Do club at Aberystwyth University during my first year of study. • This includes running the franchise of the club for the Tae Kwon Do Association of Great Britain (TAGB) through the issuing of licences and organising of gradings for the students through the TAGB Committee Representative for Wales. • Also set up a business of supplying Tae Kwon Do equipment to students in Aberystwyth.

Major areas of my research interests focus on governance in the Global South, construction of patronage networks, as well as issues of resource security and resource sovereignty. Conducted a three month solo research project in Sri Lanka into governance of fisheries and its sustainability implications for Sri Lankan fisheries. This research followed a mixed method design utilising both quantitative and qualitative research methods, all of which was conducted in Sinhala through a local translator. Graduated with 2:1 (Hons) in International Politics with Strategic Studies. Focused on politics in the Global South, with a particular focus on Sub-Saharan Africa. Also focused on global strategy issues (both historical and 21st Century concerns).
