Over the next eight years of his career, he served with MWCS-48 at Camp Pendleton, 29 Palms, Glenview Naval Air Base, Fort Sheridan and Great Lakes Naval Air Station with two additional meritorious promotions and a Certificate of Commendation. He was Honorable Discharged in 1998 holding the rank of E-6, Staff Sergeant, and was invited to serve of the board of the Station Committee for the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation - Chicago Chapter.
