I was the Team Leader in the CSI (Container Security Initiative). I was responsible for insuring that containers leaving the Port of Genoa did not contain a WME (Nuclear, Biological or Chemical). I worked closely w/the Italian Customs Dept., American Embassy and the Italian importing and exporting community. Collateral responsibilities were numerous and I led my 6 member team with little supervision as we were 300 miles north of the the Embassy. I had a Diplomatic passport, Secret Clearance and worked daily with Italian Law Enforcement in the fight against terrorism.
