About

Living fearless is easy when it’s in your DNA. Whether surviving cancer, competing in the Ironman World Championships, generating multimillion dollar global product lines, or building a multi-million dollar company, I set my sights on the end game and pride myself on leading teams across the finish line. As a change agent with 20+ years as a Fortune 500 company R&D scientist, marketing executive, business leader, and CEO and founder, my natural instinct is to see a magically viable idea and transform it into reality. By applying core business fundamentals, having in-depth experience across multiple categories and product life stages, and knowing how to strategically integrate the right people and resources, “What could be” becomes “What is.” As co-founder of SIVO Insights, Inc., I am customer-obsessed and passionate about my work. I guide our teams to create custom proprietary insights that actualize business objectives and deliver a competitive advantage. We go above and beyond transactional research services to build long-term relationships with our clients by delivering solutions rooted in our core values of respect and integrity. I built the company from the ground up into a thriving multi-million dollar organization with diverse solutions. My journey from engineer to marketer to entrepreneur has shaped me into an excellent decision maker with the ability to see through the clutter and deliver operational excellence. I created a lasting legacy that serves both employees and clients, establishing a unique workplace where people feel valued, can do their best work, and bring their true selves to the office. I’m always striving to help my team overcome operational and creative hurdles enabling them to deliver exceptional experiences for our clients and find joy in their work. As a seasoned executive, I've shared my mission to live fearless with my teams and clients alike. I’ve completed more than 50 marathons and triathalons and three Ironman triathalons, including the Ironman World Championship. I live by the quote “Don’t ask yourself what the world needs. Ask yourself what makes you come alive and go do that. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive. “ – Howard Thurman Looking for a fresh, collaborative approach to achieving business-building insights? SIVO Insights fuels business with human insights. Whether your business goal is to grow revenue, gain market share, or communicate clearly, SIVO Insights gives emerging and global brands a strategic relationship advantage. By customizing proprietary qualitative, quantitative, and trend research experiences to fearlessly pursue the “whys” behind human thoughts and behaviors, SIVO Insights discovers the business opportunities ripe for transformational innovation and engagement strategies. In 2009, Marilyn Weiss and Cindy Blackstock partnered over a common passion to understand the elusive emotional territory that is neither black nor white and drives human behavior. SIVO, meaning ‘grey,’ is the middle space where life happens and relationships hold strength. Comprised of the nation’s leading talent, our project teams share a common thread. We seek out the rich opportunities that require curiosity and tenacity to reach beyond ourselves. We roll up our sleeves and dig-in with hard-earned confidence, creativity and intelligence to execute with excellence. This is what integrity means to us. Even when no one else is looking, we know that we are and hold ourselves accountable to keep our word. At the end of the day it is our loyalty, commitment, and trust that matters most, because these are the interconnections that lie at the core of our who we are, how we work, and the relationships we build.
