Work Project: Scalable Detector for Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) Communication Systems. This is an innovative, next generation WiFi technology that improves the data rate, range and power consumption of the devices in the network by increasing the number of antennas at the transmitters and receivers. It can also be extended to cellular LTE and other high speed wireless standards. Specific technical work includes research, development, and performance analysis of next generation MIMO detector using Python and C in WiFi/LTE packet transceiver systems, and FPGA IP core development of the MIMO detector using Verilog and Xilinx tools.
