It was an honor to participate in the leadership that helped create the foundation that continues today inside this organization. During the two years 2007 and 2008 as President the organiztion grew by 500%, became a not-for-profit and laid a strong foundation. We also become a Developed Chapter with the International Coach Federation (ICF) and were honored with a prestigious community activism award.

Together with a great group of coaches we banded together to create and start Kansas City's local ICF chapter.

I started as a counselor and after working nights to obtain my Masters in Counseling I was promoted to Manager.

With my background is in counseling psychology, I added my coaching business in 2005 after attending the the College of Executive Coaching post graduate program. Coaching has added a new level of interaction to my approach with clients.

My focus and passion are around sexual health but the reality is it's about making sure your relationship is helping support you in all aspects of your life. I work with my clients as we move forward together through the process of reaching their goals. What I bring is a mix of personal discovery and action planning in order to effectively make changes. I work from a let's understand what is going on so we can choose how to deal with it frame work. My clients find it empowering to not just talk about a problem but also to create ways of coping through learning new skills. I'm partiularly drawn to clients who want to be truly authentic in their relationships with the people they love. The first step is clarifying what you truly want in a relationship. One common mistake is to focus on what you don't want or what's wrong with a current or previous relationship. Goals have to be positive in nature. The relationship is my client and my focus is on helping each partner contribute, enhance and improve the relationship. I don't take sides, I will call you on your stuff.

The mission of the University of Michigan Sexual Health Certificate program is to provide comprehensive education and training to professionals about sexual health. The Certificate Program will address the learning needs of sexuality educators, sexuality counselors, and sex therapists. The Sexual Health Certificate Program believes that sexual health is an important part of every individual's general health. Individuals and couples may experience problems in their sexual health related to psychological, environmental, hormonal, medical or relational facets of sexual health. The goal is to provide excellence in the training of professionals in sexual health education, counseling, and therapy."]

MTTI is one of the best massage schools in the Kansas City area. I learned a great deal about massage but more importantly about inner peace and energy work. I think connecting with a client or a group's energy is important. Understanding how cognition and emotion play into that is just fascinating to me."]
