Director of Operations; Manufacturing In my role I provided leadership for a team of 150 employees including machine operators, mechanical technicians, front line leadership and manufacturing engineers. We set out to improve the operational flow of a seasoned production department. Through our efforts we effectively implemented several changes that resulted in a Wip reduction of over 10 million dollars in carrying cost, increased machine throughputs by between 30 and 50% across entire production floor. This allowed us to postpone and in some cases completely avoid purchasing additional automation to meet demand. The resulted in a cost avoidance of about 25 million per year for the years of 2010-2014 and planned through 2016. Through the efforts of our cross functional team we implemented cellular manufacturing and we able to create a just in time process that yielded so much efficiency we were able to consolidate a three shift, five day a week down to a two shift, five day a week operation with a skeleton crew on the overnight shift to perform changeovers and scheduled machine maintenance. All of these efforts brought a 5 million dollar annual reduction on the manufacturing costs. Through our cellular manufacturing efforts we created teams that became experts at their craft and resulted in not only increase throughput but also virtually complete elimination of scrap and maintained or improved our quality levels across the board.

Value Engineering Program manager, Manufacturing Responsibilities included investigating and implementing value added programs that reduced the manufacturing cost of existing products as well as reviewing current designs looking for improvement opportunities for our customers. This included improvements to current production lines, new automation, and vertical integration of raw materials. Responsibilities included investigation, cost calculating, obtaining approval, contracting outside vendors to build automation, acceptance of new line, installation, validation, operational training, working with cross functional teams to bring new equipment into the organization, and continued support after release to production. The primary objectives were improving company profits, satisfying customer needs, and driving business growth

Manager of Product Engineering, Manufacturing
Responsibilities included leading a team of Product Engineers, CAD, and Engineering Systems, preparing costs and budgets, planning future priorities, and developing individuals. The primary objectives were to maintain products through their lifecycle. Evaluating and reporting proposed changes and alternate materials to be used in manufacturing.

Process Development Engineer, New Product Marketing 
Responsible for projects, product development, and value engineering. The key role was to develop new medical products, tooling, automation, and processes for the timely, cost effective launch of new products while meeting regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include support for new developments, current products, and manufacturing.

Supported product changes and improvements through their lifecycle. Worked with Manufacturing to implement changes to products and processes. Worked with vendors to implement material changes to reduce costs in alternate raw materials

Provided leadership for a team of 65 team members. Scheduled the production requirements for 32 injection molding machines and work centers.
