Start and Develop 1st and 2nd Shift using Tuckman's Group Development Model in the following departments: Phase 1, Cased Sausage, and Retail. Responsible for heading an (Elite Team) that produced 70%-80% of total production in the entire department and produce on average $1,000,000 of product a day. Responsible for meeting and exceeding schedules and targets. Direct 1pm and 4pm safety and production meetings. Assign staff to specific assignments to accomplish objectives for the department. Work with Process Tech's and Maintenance to resolve technical issues. Implement training programs, written tests, and testing lab for technical staff. Control inventory to ensure the availability of materials required for operation. Reduce waste by implementing measures that reclaim and recycle product for future use. Save department over $2 million dollars annually. Document production and waste in Shift and Production Report. Provide Operations Manager with firsthand information about production, technical issues, staff, and other pertinent information. Coordinate with Staffing Firms to identify and hire staff from Adecco, A.S.I., and Elite Staffing. Ensure compliance with all quality and food safety programs through regular adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), performance of sanitation audits, food safety checks (HACCP), and product quality checks conducted to organizational policies. Actively participate in prevention and correction of quality-related errors. Manage Phase 1 and Phase 2 simultaneously. Adhere to USDA and FDA Standards. Adhere to OSI Global Business Standards.

Responsible for production $500,000 a product on my shift. Manage, train and assists team members and team leads. Use Kronos to add employees time to electronic tracker. Communicate with Upper Management as to the amount of product that can be produced on the shift according to personnel present and functioning of equipment. Schedule pickup of WIP to be sent to other plants for further production. Direct and assign employees as needed to ensure all aspect of quality of products, services and delivery. Learned different machine operations throughout production process. Assisted Supervisor with employee organization and documentation. Work with QA to resolve quality issues related to ingredients and WIP. Conduct safety checks. Ensure 2nd Shift was setup properly with tools and ingredients to begin production. Meet with 2nd Shift and conduct complete handover of department.

Inspect equipment prior to start-up, for change-overs, or when handing off to next shift. Complete periodic line checks to determine compliance with product specifications. Monitor product line settings and document checks and issues found. Check shipments for a wide variety of factors and ensure compliance. Evaluate discarded products and recommend disposal measures. Assessed food quality to make sure it meets customer’s expectations. Oversee the shipping and receiving procedures of different ingredients. Kept accurate and organized records of micro samples throughout different departments. Worked together with shipping and receiving to ensure production ran with high quality ingredients.
