Chryssa Koumoundourou

I have been part of the Piraeus Bank Group since 2004, building a career at the intersection of international marketing communications, corporate responsibility and large-scale strategic initiatives. For more than 15 years, I served as the hub and liaison for all Group International MarComm projects, supporting the Bank’s expansion across SE Europe and the Eastern Mediterranean. Through this journey, I worked closely with international subsidiaries to export Group practices, ensure brand consistency and support the rollout of retail, corporate and SME products and services across the Group network. The Greek banking sector’s international growth in the 00s was a defining chapter in my career, shaping my understanding of global integration, multicultural collaboration and cross-border project leadership. Beyond international MarComm, I led major marketing assignments for Piraeus Real Estate and PICAR SA, with a special focus on the restoration, operation and promotion of City Link. I also contributed to domestic marketing initiatives involving Bancassurance partnerships, as well as Leasing, Factoring, Brokerage and ETVA VI.PE. A strong advocate of Corporate Responsibility, I played a key role in embedding the Group’s CSR philosophy across international units. Since 2020, I have transitioned fully into the Group Corporate Responsibility Unit as a Senior Manager. In this role, I manage an end-to-end portfolio of strategic programmes, including: • EQUALL – For a Society of Equal People, the Group’s flagship programme for equality & inclusion • Bicentennial and historical-cultural initiatives related to 1821 and Asia Minor • Social-cultural projects that foster resilience, equal opportunities and sustainable development • Partnerships with ecosystem players, NGOs, institutions and the broader community. My work is driven by a commitment to meaningful impact, stakeholder engagement and the integration of sustainability and social value into the Group’s long-term strategy.
