The Credence Fund focuses its investments in companies with Operational Headquarters ("OHQ") in Singapore, and other opportunities in Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand. Credence Fund targets to invest into the Advanced Manufacturing (technology related processes and products), Information Communication Technologies ("ICT"), Services, Logistics and Consumer sectors. My role there is to support the Credence team and advising them in the areas of IT, cloud computing, digital media and digital marketing. I also provide insights, deal leads, strategic, functional and domain-specific expertise to the team in making investment decisions and providing value-added strategies to portfolio companies.

Peristera was founded to promote Cloud Computing. With the internet world fast moving from Web 2.0 to the next level, many enterprises such as Amazon, Microsoft, and Google are investing into cloud computing platforms. Around these large companies, a fairly rich and diverse ecosystem of startups are starting to form which specialises in cloud computing. Peristera was founded to harness and harvest the technologies from this ecosystem.

Local search, directory and classifieds as a combination is still an evergreen growth area in the internet world. Google, Microsoft and Yahoo have all not fully tapped into this market because of the diverse geographical nuances. SPH Search's Rednano.sg is going to be a leader in this domain around the region. My role is to take the Rednano search and directory platform to the next level in scalability, reliability and productisation.

Cadi Scientific is a high growth medical devices company which has invented a highly innovative wireless health care sensing platform. As executive advisor, my role is to bring Cadi to the next level of its growth by improving its sales and marketing strategy and mentoring its management team.

In this position, my objective is to create globally competitive technology based companies. To do this, I will be creating a pipeline of deal flows from research and technologies coming out of the National University of Singapore (NUS), as well as mentoring and grooming existing investee companies; bringing them global. I will also be looking at good opportunities to invest in startups that are not NUS related; they do not even have to be located in Singapore.

In this position I am responsible for the commercialisation of technologies that are developed by the science and technology research institutes which form part of the Agency for Singapore Technologies and Research (A*Star). As part of my job, I will need to understand the technologies, the patent and IP landscape, as well as the potential market of such technologies.

Studying in Waikato was one of the best times of my life. We had good faculty members who were experts in their field. At the same time the university environment was very friendly and beautiful.
