I will try and summarize what I strive for every day in one word: BALANCE. I do this first, by expounding my Context and clearly measuring my Professional, Personal, and Spiritual Objectives at the beginning of every year. Second, I divide those Objectives into no less than 3 manageable Milestones. Third, I separate those Milestones into even smaller Accomplishments, and fourth, split those Accomplishments into even more bite sized Tasks. Once my outline is complete I apply a date to each item which is in direct relationship to a specified time frame that is neither too severe nor too lenient for me. My challenge is staying on track. But I have learned over the years that no matter what happens, I can always come back to where I left off and continue to press forward from my last completed task. Is this exercise hard to master? It has been one of the most difficult assignments that I have placed on myself to conquer...But as the immortal Jim Rohn used to say,: I don't wish it was easier, I wish I where better."

Being on both sides of the counter so to speak gave me the opportunity to really learn the intricacies of Major Land Entitlements including * Conditional Use Permits, * Variances, * Major and Minor Subdivisions, * Change of Zones, * and General Plan Updates. * In the Building Permit area I became truly familiar with all * Types of Construction, * Occupancies, * including all Codes and Ordinances, * and I am sincerely grateful for that opportunity.
