Process Engineer with a strong passion in applying my mathematical, analytical and logical thought processing skills to solve complex problems that yields the best value-driven results. I am driven to utilise my strong experience, key skills, and positive mindset to effectively build my career and deliver significant value to society and the environment.I am strongly proficient in performing chemical engineering calculations, including mass and energy balances, blowdown systems, relief valve and line sizing, flare ignition pilots, flow induced vibrations, vessel and reactor sizing, operating and material cost analysis and heat recovery. Along with these skills, I have strong abilities to accurately construct and mark up Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and P&IDs in Bluebeam to visualise and design the most effective chemical processes, which will generate maximum production rate at minimal costs without any environmental impact. I possessed proficient skills in Aspen HYSYS & Plus to model and optimise processes, such as depressurisation and relieve valve sizing to improve safety and efficiency of gas lift and oil and gas production manifolds, verifying values against hand calculations, changing reaction pathways to utilise the recovered heat and increase production of the desired chemicals. Also, I have excellent skills in MATLAB and Python programming and Excel to layout, organise and perform calculations to improve safety and efficiency of unit operations and processes, pipelines and instruments, such as wellheads, manifolds, pumps, valves and parameter measurement indicators. I am keen to look for roles in any suitable field, including Process Engineering, Technical Safety Engineering, Asset Integrity Engineering, Project Engineering, Quality Assurance and any other role. My key skills:• Written and Verbal Communication & Teamwork• IT & Administration• Project Coordination & Organisation• Analysis, Evaluation & Interpretation• MATLAB & Python Programming• Mathematical Proficiency, Problem Solving & Creativity• ASPEN HYSYS & Plus Software Modelling• Bluebeam for P&ID & PFD construction and development• Attention to Detail & Sound Judgement

Experience

Graduate Process Engineer
Aberdeen
Gained significant experience in constructing, developing and marking up PFDs and P&IDs to add new pipe and instrument lines, process and instrument units to enhance existing oil and gas processes. I have developed and marked up the P&ID showing the manifold, where a temporary pump skid is installed that will inject scale inhibitor to eliminate and prevent scale formations, thus preventing blockages and improving efficiency. Cooperated with different disciplines to ensure deliverable like P&IDs and datasheets are completed to a high efficiency on time and budget. Developed line lists to plan, design and construct pipelines to enhance efficiency and safety of processes. I communicated clearly and concisely to senior engineers to obtain information for the line list and raise queries of any values or information that seemed illogical, which ensures the document is completed accurately. Acquired significant experience in developing LO / LC valve registers to ensure specific values are locked opened or closed for engineering reasons. I developed a register to ensure ball valves remained locked open to allow fluids to travel to the HP flare pilot to depressurise well annulus, which improves well safety and efficiency for oil and gas production. Developed Alarm & Trip Schedules to ensure alarms and safeguards are designed, installed and implemented at various locations of the process - this allows proper detection to alert operators and mitigate deviations of process parameters from intended set points to close ESD valves, which prevents overpressure damage to downstream equipment. I communicated with ICSS company to gain technical information needed to align alarm set points with the PCS to allow accurate detection and safeguarding to depressurise process units and lines. Performed HYSYS simulations and calculations for blowdown & relief valve sizing along with other calculations such pilot flare ignitions, flow induced vibrations and Process Safety Time (PST).

Domestic Assistant
NHS Grampain
Aberdeen, Scotland, United Kingdom
Performing cleaning duties including vacuuming, mopping and disposal of rubbish to ensure delivery of a clean, safe and hygienic clinical environment for patients, visitors and staff to use. I worked and cooperated with colleagues to prioritise and managed the completion of various cleaning tasks in different clinical areas. I assisted colleagues on tasks such as rubbish disposal to reduce half the workload which fostered strong positive working relationships, trust and integrity. I adapted when asked to clean an additional clinical area, by focusing on the important tasks with greater speed to managed my work time effectively. I have demonstrated efficient organisation, time management and speed to complete the assigned tasks which had saved around 35% of cleaning resources being used and time, therefore saving NHS money. My work role had developed strong effective communication and interpersonal skills which can be applied to foster strong working relationships with staff and clients to tackle any work challenges to deliver the best outcomes.

BP Student Volunteer
Bramble Bae Primary School
Aberdeen, Scotland, United Kingdom
I worked as a volunteer tutor at a primary school to assist primary 5 pupils on their schoolwork to boost their skills, knowledge and confidence in mathematics, reading and writing. I tutored a group of four primary 5 pupils to enhance their skills and confidence in solving mathematical problems. One pupil was having difficulty with one of the questions involving multiplication which states ‘if one bar of chocolate cost £2, what is the total cost of buying 3 bars of chocolate?’. What I did was to write down each step clearly on paper to help the pupil understand the concepts needed to solve the problem. This was done at a suitable pace and teaching style customised to the pupil’s learning needs. The pupil fully grasps the process and got all the questions correct as marked by the teacher and boosted confidence in their work. I went around to check if the other pupils were having any problems and split my time fairly to devote tutoring assistance to each pupil. The tutoring experience has allowed me to foster strong working relationships and trust with the pupils and teachers. Taking part has greatly contributed to the pupils’ learning development and inspired confidence in them to pursue post secondary education that will lead to a successful career.

The Leadership Academy
Aberdeen, Scotland, United Kingdom
The Leadership Academy has enabled me to develop core soft skills in communication, teamwork, time management and decision making in a range of workshop activities. These skills can be applied in any workplace to corporate and lead a team of people. I worked with a group of students to design an online game which involves a game character performing a range of cleaning duties in a house. I proposed that the game character is equipped with disinfectants and cleaning equipment to defeat bacterial monsters and proceed to the next level of higher difficulty. As well as proposing my own ideas, I considered different ideas from the team and made decisions on areas including character development and reward points exchanged to acquire additional equipment. The design was planned out on paper and we worked together under 30 minutes to develop the game design. The final solution involves a human game character entering a house and uses cleaning detergents to eliminate enemies ranging from small bacterial monsters emerging from unclean dishes to large fierce monsters from unclean bathrooms. Upon completion of one level, the character moves to the next house of higher difficulty where the character takes more damage from the monsters. The game design was pitched clearly and concisely to an audience to explain how the game works and its target market.

Cleaner
Aberdeen, Scotland, United Kingdom
Main job duties include communicating among different staff including waiting staff, chefs and managers to deliver a clean, presentable and exciting restaurant environment for customers to have an excellent and unforgettable dining experience. I worked under pressure to overcome adversities of cleaning a high volume of dishes including plates, cups and bowls. Adopted an organised and resilient mindset to organise and place the bowls, cups and plates into their respective stack piles before they go through the dishwasher to be thoroughly clean. This saves time and increases both speed and efficiency to deliver the dishes to the restaurant front for customers to use when consuming food and beverages. As a result, customer satisfaction has greatly improved by 82% and restaurant profits increased by 28% in November 2016

Freshers Week Volunteer
Aberdeen, Scotland, United Kingdom
For one week, I worked as a Freshers Week Volunteer to help new first year students settle well and adjust into university life. My volunteer role involved promoting and encouraging new students to engage in activities to make new friends, handing out and explaining event leaflets, serving refreshments and point them to the appropriate service for specific assistance. I worked at the food stall to serve a range of food and beverages to the students during the afternoon. Given the large variety of refreshments on offer, I explain the specific drinks, sandwiches, crisps and chocolates available and the ingredients contain in them. This will help the students make an informed choice on the available refreshments according to their individual tastes and needs. A student approach to ask if there were any sandwiches that contain no meat as the student was a vegetarian. I suggested that there were meat-free sandwiches such as the one with cucumber, eggs and mayonnaise. I picked up one of the wrapped sandwiches and explain the meat-free ingredients. The student was happy and satisfied in choosing the recommended sandwich which fit their diet needs. Communicating and interacting with the students to help them settle into campus life has helped enhanced their student experience and developed better relationships with them.

Volunteer Sales Assistant
