EXPERIENCE: I have 25 years of experience in the automotive industry, I have worked in the US, Mexico and China and have had major roles in quality, supplier quality, project management and purchasing. SUCCESS STORIES: As Manager - Purchasing / Supply Chain I led our team of project buyers and supplier quality engineers to source two new BOMs for our largest customer, on time and achieving our initial project cost. This included collaboration on sourcing strategies and negotiation with our global commodity team, simultaneous engineering activities together with our engineering team, SQEs and suppliers, completion of audits and APQP activities and final launch readiness activities. As Supplier Quality Manager for a new plant in Queretaro, MX, in collaboration with other plant stakeholders, I established the supplier quality function. This included creation and optimization of processes and systems, planning and creating the physical spaces for our operation and hiring and training a high performing team.
