Leading the BA International Business suite of undergraduate courses, including the Dual Award with French and Spanish programmes. Specific responsibilities include: - Leading on all aspects of course management, including design, quality assurance/enhancement (including ownership of course enhancement plans, AoL, annual reporting and periodic course review), delivery and assessment. - Working with the Assistant Course Leaders to ensure smooth delivery of the course. - Enhancing student experience, student liaison and pastoral care including engagement with other support services. - Leading Course Committees and attending Course Leader and Boards of Examiners meetings. - Leading student induction planning and delivery, including the development and implementation of online pre-learning. - Participating in Open Events and other student recruitment activities. - Engaging with international dual degree partners, employers and supporting accreditation work.

Additionally: - Joint platform lead for the largest module at NTU, Applied Professional Development, focusing on developing the skills of Level 5 students within Nottingham Business School and providing opportunities to gain work-like experience to augment their profile - Acting as lead for the Part Time Work route for this APD module - Supporting the delivery of Personalisation modules for International Business students in their first year through lectures and seminars - Assessing students as part of these modules, marking assignments and completing moderation processes - Acting as Course Tutor for first year International Business students, providing pastoral and academic support to aid their transition to university life - Conducting research into supporting the needs of students as they transition into and graduate out of university

Teaching Academic, Personal and Professional Development at undergraduate level for students at Nottingham Business School. Additionally: - Supporting the delivery of Personalisation modules for International Business students in their first year through seminars - Supporting the delivery of Personalisation modules for Business and International Business students in their second year through seminars - Acting as lead for the Part Time Work route for the Employment & Enterprise module - Assessing students as part of these modules, marking assignments and completing moderation processes - Acting as Course Tutor for first year International Business students, providing pastoral and academic support to aid their transition to university life - Attending course committee meetings to listen and react to student voice in order to incorporate positive changes to the course - Creating positive links with academics within the Business School, across NTU and internationally - Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the delivery of content, visits and projects which aid the professional and academic development of students - Creating the content for welcome seminars for students first attending NBS - Supporting the delivery of outreach lecturers to Year 12 students interested in attending university

Responsible for providing Careers Guidance for students from Nottingham Business School. Additionally: - Project managing the Employability Workshop series of Employability workshops for students at NTU. This programme incorporates 50 different sessions, with over 300 sessions delivered in 2020/21 - Project managing the Mock Assessment Centre programme, where local, national and international employers work with us to provide an authentic recruitment activity for NTU students - Chairing the Sustainability Task Group; as part of this role the links between employability and sustainability are explored and presented to staff and students through training sessions, workshops, website resources and a new Employability Award - Working with academics to promote employability support and resources, to assist them to incorporate these within their teaching. This supports the needs of NTU students and ensure that targeted courses are successful as part of Graduate Outcomes - Collaborating with School Employability Managers to ensure that the School's employability requirements are understood and met, as part of Curriculum Refresh and incorporation of the Employability Taxonomy - Supporting NTU's Success for All agenda, determining opportunities to support key cohorts such as Rise, international, gender, ethnicity and course length - Supporting institution-wide activities, including Global Week, Global Opportunities Showcase and the recent activities alongside COP26 - Marking of HEA Fellowship submissions, to support the scholarly activity of NTU colleagues and offer suggestions for improvement - Coordinating the delivery of employability activity across all courses at Nottingham Business School

Supporting the employability needs of all international students at NTU. Additionally: - Creating employability resources and events to improve the Employability of International Students at NTU - Working with Nottingham International College to ensure that their students have experience of key employability activities, before they arrive at NTU - Collaborating with other departments within NTU, such as NTU Global, International Student Support and the International Development Office to attract international students to the university and support them whilst they are here - Working with the Midlands International Group to expand knowledge and understanding of the issues facing international students - Marketing Employability messaging to student union societies

Responsible for Employability event coordination at NTU, projects include managing the Steps to Success programme, planning sessions and analysing trends to increase student engagement. Additionally: - Led drop-in sessions to provide support to students requiring employability guidance - Led the review of the Steps to Success programme, incorporating innovative solutions to issues - Created a revised Mock Assessment Centre programme, designed to increase student capabilities - Taught sessions that equip students with the knowledge and skills required to become successful graduates that meet the needs of employers, including WP students - Developed new feedback systems designed to generate information to effect meaningful change - Coordinated a new promotional programme to create student case studies that raise the profile of the support Employability provides - Created a series of reports that analyse and present student data, leading to the development of strategies that improve the service provided to university students - Initiated, planned and realised a series of events that incorporated a variety of stakeholders - Supported the work of the International Task Group to assist international students, including the creation of bespoke events and resources - Created the Sustainability Task Group to improve Employability’s commitment to this area

Marked GCSE exam papers for successive years across multiple specifications and cohorts

Effectively led a department for 5+ years yielding an increase of results, ensured that programmes of study are fit for purpose, initiated leadership opportunities and increased the number and variety of educational visits within both the UK and abroad. Senior pastoral leader responsible for a third of the organisation’s educational performance, increased leadership opportunities at a variety of levels, created a model that led to a reduction in instances of bullying, had a coaching role for other members of the pastoral team, led programmes that supported senior management with issues that affected the whole organisation, including quality assurance.
