Working in Labeling dept preparing labels for products being made and boxed. Also, FedEx and UPS labels for product being shipped out on a day to day basis

With this being a small company I wear multiple hats. Quality-inspections and First Articles using Keyence CMM and assisting with Lazer part marking using Keyence Lazer marking machine Shipping and delivery of product Receiving of material Accounts Payable and assisting in office duties.

My responsibilities here are Incoming Inspections. I've also had the task of training a new inspector to assist with my load, although there are many aspects of inspections, all does not happen at one time. There is also a weekly MRB (Material Review Board) that I conduct which results in decision making on material that has been non conformed from myself or the other inspector I also take care of the First Article process of working with the Engineers on drawings for measurements to be done on new product. Collect the data necessary for approval or rejection. A new role that has been added is Calibration of hand tools and power supplies. Being over Inspections also includes assisting with issues in production and trouble shooting if there comes a problem with our pumps not passing. Investigation begins on individual components that are used to build our products. I am also a long time standing member on our Health and Wellness Committee and a First Responder, which I may add that I truly enjoy. My day as an inspector is full of changes and I have learned to adapt to priorities changing very quickly.

I am a Quality Assurance Technician. I have experience with force testers, micrometers, calipers, and other basic measuring tools. I work with Design Engineers on blue prints to determine critical measurements on parts to be measured. Measure all parts and report data. Work up CMM programs (vision and probe capability) to measure and produce data for First Articles and production parts. I work with the Supplier Quality Engineer on Process Capability studies with Minitab data entry. Work with a team and along side the Quality Manager on customer notifications I've also been a main member of our Health and Wellness team for the past 9 years assisting with and coordinating blood drives, biometric screenings, lunch and learns, and other wellness related activities.

Quality inspector of incoming parts, First articles and End of Line product. I work with the engineers reading their drawings for measuring parts for qualification. This entails the use of hand tools and a coordinate measuring machine. I also conduct a MRB meeting if necessary for disposition of parts. Help address issues and track all paperwork for traceability. Calibration of in house equipment is also another add on. This requires tracking due dates of such equipment such as micrometers, calipers, pressure gauges, etc... All data is input into a database for tracking. I had the responsibility of training another tech for inspection of incoming parts and End of Line product. Assisting her with questions she had and making sure her day was filled with adequate work. Parker NCO has squired another Parker facility and it was my responsibility to learn the parts and to measure them for pass/fail and to report issues found. Every morning I was out at the production meeting to hear what was due out for the day. I would make sure all lines had all they needed to get their product started and throughout the day, through the day I would return to the lines to be sure no issues had arose. I was always the one called to the production lines if an issue arose with parts whether it be mixed parts, issues with elastomers, issues with plastics. They always looked to me for a possible fix and if I couldn’t fix it on my own, I would certainly ask for assistance. If weekend work was happening I would talk with with my boss and the production manager to see if Quality coverage was needed and if so, I would be the one to cover.

Started out on production floor as a final assembler of medical pumps. After a year moved into Quality Assurance. My main duties were to inspect incoming and shop parts for production. Determine whether parts were in spec or to be non conformed. Held weekly MRB meetings. Worked with Design engineers to complete First Article pieces. Worked with Supplier Engineer on product issues.

Calibrated all in house tools and ran the Zeiss CMM. Worked with outside calibration sources for all of our scales
