I am the head of the Shell Legal department in Singapore and the Associate General Counsel leading a regional team which provides legal advice to Shell's Oil/Oil Products Trading business in Singapore and Dubai, Shell's gas and power trading business across Asia. I also have responsibility for providing oversight of regulatory issues which impact Shell’s Trading and Supply business in the Asia Pacific region and ensuring that that there is a framework for managing high risk regulatory exposures.

Advising Shell's LNG Trading business i.e. Shell LNG Marketing and Trading. In this role I was responsible for drafting and negotiating international long term LNG purchase agreements and advising on all issues arising from the commercial and operational aspects of the LNG business.

Advising Shell's Oil/Oil Products trading business in Singapore, Dubai and Japan which is part of the Shell Trading Network which is the interface between Shell’s downstream businesses and the global oil commodity markets by acquiring feedstocks/products and trading out bulk refined products to commodity trading companies and end users.

In this role, I worked in Shell's HQ corporate and treasury department in the Hague advising on treasury, financing and HQ corporate governance matters, I also advised Shell's UK Industrial and Commercial Gas business and LNG business including drafting and negotiating long term and high value contracts.

I was engaged by managing counsel and the compliance officer of Shell’s group treasury operations and developed a consistent regulatory compliance framework and approach to be adopted by treasury centres in London, The Hague, Houston and Singapore as well as Hong Kong, Bermuda, Barbados, Switzerland and Kuala Lumpur.

Advised Shell group treasury operations which functions as its internal financing centre and the external front to the markets working on financing, debt capital market and derivatives documentation.

Worked in the Corporate department of a corporate firm in Kuala Lumpur with a focus on banking, corporate and securities and conveyancing matters.
