Leads and manages Kumba Centralised Supply Chain Purchasing and Localized Supplier strategy to deliver purchasing services to Kumba‘s operational sites in order to leverage total transactional spend with Kumba‘s suppliers and service providers within proper governance and procurement best practices.

Direct, oversee and manage the Supply Chain in a constructive, results-orientated way in accordance with Company budget and strategy policies. Direct and manage distribution, freight, shipping, warehousing and inventories to Company and Customer standards, compliance with ISO 9001:2000. Strategize and implement effective production planning, optimal inventory management and linked material flow solutions. Directly responsible for critical supplier negotiations to ensure optimal availability of raw- and other materials essential for cost effective production of products according to Companies’ production plan. Oversee and assist in supplier management and relationships. Directly responsible for selection of suppliers by research of the potential local and international market and assessment of potential suppliers’ technical and supply capabilities. Strategy analyses, alignment, development and implementation Strategic market and competitor analyses (local / global): aligning supply chain objectives and strategies with market trends Profitability analyses Adaptation and expansion of supplier base through offshore procurement contracts, substantial travel into Africa (Namibia, Kenya, Zambia, Tanzania) and also the Far East (Malaysia).
