I am currently working for MEETOPTICS and finishing my PhD in photonics where I have worked on developing and designing functional 2D and nano-structured materials for optoelectronic and biological applications. In my free time I enjoy road cycling and socialising with friends.

The objective of my PhD work was to design and develop transparent surfaces with advanced functionalities for optical and biological applications based on ultrathin materials. The functionalities include transparent electrodes and antimicrobial properties. The ultrathin thin materials include graphene, MoS2, and nanometre thick metals which can also be nanostructured. Through collaboration with different groups and leading companies (Corning Inc., ICMAB etc.) we demonstrated: 1. A novel and scalable technique to transfer 2D materials, such as graphene, MoS2 and nano-structured metals onto transparent flexible substrates at low temperatures 2. A minimally invasive method for increasing the electrical conductivity of graphene on transparent surfaces for transparent conducting applications 3.
