* The Microsoft HPC practice was in its infancy when I joined. * Accomplishments * Created design and discovery workshops to capture customer requirements and understand business strategy and needs * Optimized HPC designs across several verticals including Oil & Gas and actuarial workloads for the insurance industry * Contributed large amount of work to reference architectures for both Microsoft HPC Server delivery and Dynamic Data Center which eventually matured into part of Azure

* I joined the newly formed Linux National Practice, as one of the first architects. It was an Emerging Business Opportunity (EBO) at the time. The team was tasked to create products and services around the Linux operating system. * Accomplishments * Designed and delivered over 40 High Performance Computing (HPC) systems * Large contributor to creation of the e1350 product that still sells today. * Design and delivery of LANL Roadrunner that was #1 in the top 500. Roadrunner was the fastest computer in the world and first to break the PetaFlop barrier in November 2008. I was full-time at IBM during phase I, and also helped deliver phase III in 2008 as a contractor. The IBM Roadrunner deal was well in excess of $120M.

* As a Systems Engineer, Chris designed, troubleshot, repaired, and upgraded existing computer equipment and networks. He also advised sales people on creating complete network solutions including Internet and intranet. Chris’ work has included technical phone support for Internet customers and various networking design projects including Novell, Microsoft NT, Windows, Dos, OS400, Unix, Linux, and Mac OS. Chris also did much on site consulting and conducted Microsoft MCSE courses company wide. * IBM Credit Union: * Designed and implemented workstation upgrade of approximately 300 systems * Nash Finch Company: * Repaired and upgraded Rx systems * Heartman Insurance: * Designed and implemented Cisco and Novell solution * Professional Skaters Association: * Designed and implemented Linux firewall and web cache engine

* Canonical is the owner and developer of Ubuntu Linux. * Accomplishments * Contributed to establishing an international consulting practice * Developed reusable designs utilizing Ubuntu’s hybrid cloud tools across AWS, GCP and Azure * Lead design sessions establishing EA repository * Educated teams how to create designs along the enterprise continuum in order to support artifact reuse * Contributed a considerable amount of work to developing their services delivery methodology * Delivered Webinars and Marketing material for cloud products * Technical lead for Partnerships and Alliances with IBM, Microsoft and Juniper * I lead several educational and demonstrations at major conventions including IBM Interconnect and Google Next.

* I transferred to the Watson team from a long-term contract position after building a Watson system at the Rochester, MN Customer Solution Center. The technology piqued my interest and I reached out to the team to hire me full-time. * Accomplishments * Lead transformation of the IBM Watson product change to Watson cloud services * Lead low level design of the hardware to support the Openstack deployment as well as sizing for services, redundancy and failover * Lead the adoption of Bluebox architecture for the Softbank project * Technical leader in the PMO that worked directly with Softbank, a partnership deal in excess of $40M including Watson Services and Softbank’s Pepper Robot offering

* Fusion Solutions is a managed services company with both hardware and software reseller partnerships. * Accomplishments * Established partner relationships with SGI, Redhat and Foundry Networks. * Designed managed internet security firewall product * Lead the sales and design teams
