Responsible for the technical design, implementations and project support with customers who implement Motorola's mobile radio telecommunications solutions (LMR, P25). - Design radio communications system transmission sites. - Design radio communication system control nodes (Data Center) sites. - Design coordination/supervision and dispatch sites for radio communications system (Console, display and monitoring equipments/software). - Supports clients with technical decision-making required for system design and deployment. - Act as a technical expert in the joint project team with clients.

Internal customers: Operations managers for media production and distribution infrastructure. Responsible for defining, planning, designing, coordinating and carrying out telecommunications/IT and technology infrastructure projects. (Storage, networking, virtualization, IT processes, etc.). • Assist internal client to define the mandate and objectives of the technology project. • Offering technology solutions and technology intelligence • Producing project costs estimates • Host project team meetings • Prepare documents, manage tendering processes, purchase requests and contracts for the acquisition of technology equipment and services. • Planning users and maintenance team’s training. • Coordinating activities with stakeholders (suppliers, specialists, users, supervisors and operations managers) on live and offline system integration projects (materials or software). • Collaborating with suppliers for delivery, diagnosis, problem solving, technology proof of concept, and contributing to define technological product evolution.

I'm responsible to contribute to the IT Business plan and manage the SPVM project portfolio. - To plan the pre-project work that leads to management decision. - To assist business units to define their technology requirements. - To monitor technology evolution et to conduct market study. - To conduct opportunity and business case studies for management decision making process. - To prepare technical specifications and RFP documentation. - To prepare corporate standards and procedures for technology application and usage.

Responsabilités : • Veille technologique pour des applications en radio/télédiffusion, validation en laboratoire et publication de recommandations à des fins d’orientation/décisions pour les investissements en infrastructures. • Suivre les activités d’organismes de normalisation : « International Telecommunications Union » (ITU), « European Broadcasting Union » (EBU), SMPTE, FCC, Industrie Canada, AES et autres. • Collaborer avec d’autres diffuseurs (CNN, CBS, ABC, FOX, NBC, etc.) afin de résoudre des problématiques techniques communes à l’industrie nord-américaine. Exemple : Problématique de niveau audio en télévision. • Soutenir le déploiement de projets pilotes: Réalisations : • Planifié et configuré le prototype de système utilisé pour les Championnat mondial d’athlétisme (Paris, 2003). Ce fut la première preuve de concept de production à distance sur serveurs (avec un lien de fibre optique OC-3) pour la couverture d’évènements sportifs internationaux. Ce concept a été réutilisé à mainte reprises depuis les jeux Olympiques d’Athène (2004) avec un impact économique substantielle sur les dépenses de voyages et les coûts de production télévisuelle. • Planifié et configuré des systèmes vidéo et satellite pour la première transmission HDTV de “NHL, Canadian Heritage Hockey Game” (Edmonton, 2003).

Customers: AT&T Broadband Wireless (Redmond, WA), Project Angel (1.3 billion $US) Responsible for defining and enforcing RF measurement methods, as well as the design and deployment of wireless broadband networks (pre-WiMax, IEEE 802.16) in several U.S. phases and cities (Redmond, WA; Dallas and Houston, TX; Oklahoma City, OK, etc.) • Developing a laboratory testing method to simulate system performance in various radio propagation environments and phenomenon. • Compiling and analyzing Internet access statistics (high speed), fax and VoIP. • Validating the design criteria for the construction of (real) test sites in an urban environment. • Supervising and coordinating field data collection activities (2 technicians) for optimizing radio propagation models (dBPlanner and CRC-Predict). • Planning and documenting telecommunications sites (new or existing) for customer acceptance. • Compiling Demographic Data (GIS, MAPINFO). • Justifying the profitability of a telecommunications site in compliance to the marketing team’s criteria. • Coordinating activities on zoning verification, location certificate and structural analysis of telecommunications sites. • Writing technical specifications (materials and parameters) for telecommunications sites. • Writing FCC operating certificate requests. • Analysing of interference, inter-modulations and RF exposure level (Safety Code 6, NIR). • Collaborating with the R&D teams to troubleshoot, document and resolve hardware and software deficiencies.

Responsible for developing a prototype digital radio for the delivery of interactive multimedia services (datacasting). • Developing tools to analyze L-band RF propagation data (Matlab and C). • Integrate various components (receiver, touch screen, CDPD packet modem, PC, etc.) into a prototype multimedia terminal operating with digital radio receiver (aka DAB, Eureka-147). • Programming of a user interface (GUI) in Visual Basic.

Writing technical specifications for the construction of cell transmission sites (AMPS and CDMA).

Surveying and writing a comparative study on industrial automation systems about three (3) electricity cogeneration power plants (with integrated waste treatment processes) for the drafting of a tender.

Running integration and software validation procedures on AXE10 telephone switching equipment.
