M.A.Sc. Thesis on the "Effect of High-Performance Concrete and Steel Materials on the Blast Performance of Reinforced Concrete One-Way Slabs". Using a blast load simulator at the University of Ottawa's Shock-tube Facility, fourteen one-way slabs were tested with various innovative material parameters in order to define the improvements over traditional materials. These materials include ultra-high performance fibre reinforced concrete (UHPFRC), high strength steel and stainless steel rebar, and different types of steel fibres.
