Project Manager working on first-of-its-kind onshore Power-to-X and BESS demonstration project. Innovation Department | Demonstration & Piloting

The project concerned modeling of Solid Oxide Electrolysis (SOEC) for green hydrogen production, as well as design, simulation, and economic evaluation of different Power-to-Ammonia plants to assess the feasibility of different novel plant configurations. The project was carried out in collaboration with Aarhus University and Haldor Topsøe A/S.

The work concerned planning and facilitating workshops on the simulation software Aspen Plus as well as casework on Process Intensification for Danish and international students attending the master’s programme course "Modern Chemical Process Technologies". Furthermore, the work included guiding the students during their work with the mandatory exam project in the course. The exam project, and the course, dealt with the design, simulation, and optimization of modern chemical plants as well as the analyses of economic and environmental aspects of constructing and operating the plants. All exam projects dealt with the use of renewable energy and/or renewable feedstocks.

The work concerned guiding students during theoretical exercises and evaluating the students’ submitted homework in applied mathematics and statistics courses in the first, fourth and sixth semester on the bachelor educations in chemical engineering, biotechnology, and food technology.

The project concerned a novel oxygen absorption technology for recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS) used for the production of Kingfish. Furthermore, the project concerned the screening of experimental process data using principal component analysis (PCA). The project was carried out in collaboration with Veolia Water Technologies.

A five-month mandatory internship was completed at Krüger A/S. As an engineering intern, I was a part of the “Process team” in a department that deals with municipal and industrial wastewater treatment. My tasks included the preparation of technical reports and notes, data processing, technical calculations on wastewater plants, and participation in the construction and operation of a test plant at Egå treatment plant for the biological removal of micro-pollutants.

The Danish Army's basic training (HBU) was completed in an infantry regiment achieving the highest possible grade A1, given based on usability in military service.
