I specialize in corporate and commercial law, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, equity investments, general corporate advisory, commercial contracts and initial public offerings. I have extensive experience advising a wide range of domestic and international clients across multiple sectors, including advanced manufacturing, energy & utilities, transport, healthcare and TMT. I have worked in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia since 2009 (with a brief interruption in 2017) and been involved in some of its most complex and significant transactions.

Christian was initially based in the firm’s Munich office and worked since 2009 in the firm's Riyadh and Dubai offices. He was a member of the firm’s global corporate practice group: - particular focus on advising regional and international clients on corporate law, international JVs, IPOs, international M&A and public procurement in MENA, in particular Saudi Arabia, and in Europe; - worked on transactions in various sectors, including energy, chemicals, TMT, healthcare, infrastructure, defence and general industries; and - built a considerable experience and knowledge in this area, and successfully carried out landmark joint venture, capital markets and M&A transactions in the high growth environment of the MENA region. Recent experience includes advising: - a multi-national consumer products conglomerate on the restructuring and renegotiation of its exclusive JV for the GCC, Iraq and Levant and acquisition of a major upstream production company (>USD 200m of assets) by way of a share swap. - one of the leading private healthcare providers in the KSA on its proposed/upcoming IPO on the Tadawul. - one of the leading operators of airports globally on its tender for the operation of the largest airport in the KSA.

Acting as senior in-house commercial/corporate counsel. Training and mentoring junior in-house lawyers. Advising in this position SABIC and its subsidiaries on corporate law, international M&A projects, several international joint venture projects and an international litigation.
