Christiaan Coetsee

I’m a Cape Town - based producer with over a decade of experience in commercial, documentary, and short-form content production. My journey into production started in 2013 when I left my job as a junior strategist in advertising to work on set full-time. I started as a PA on international photography productions and quickly worked my way through the ranks — Production Coordinator, Production Manager, Studio Manager, and Crew Booker — before landing a role as a Junior Producer at Dutch production company Eyeforce. During my three years at Eyeforce, I had the opportunity to produce award-winning work, earning Vimeo Staff Picks and even a Cannes entry. But when the pandemic brought the industry to a standstill, I took the opportunity to rethink traditional production models. In 2020, I started freelancing and eventually launched Dare Content Studio, a modern production company built on the principles of curated creativity, radical transparency, and maximum utility. At Dare, we’ve spent the past five years challenging the traditional idea of a production company—operating as a flexible, decentralized network of top-tier creatives to deliver high-impact content for brands and agencies. I believe in a production model that is lean, efficient, and creatively uncompromising, one that puts power back in the hands of the creators while maximizing value for clients. As the industry continues to evolve, I’m always looking for new ways to push the boundaries of production, foster collaboration, and create work that resonates.
