• One of two engineers that performed worst case analysis of all approved circuits. Circuit libraries were written to track the information and calculations gathered during the design and analysis phase. • Lead a Six Sigma Green Belt project to ensure usage of the above circuit libraries containing design documentation, description schematics, and MathCAD analysis for use globally to eliminate design proliferation. • Lead electrical design engineer for the advanced product development core group for EBC450 brake system electronic control units (ECU). After design was robust, transferred to the applications group for individual customers. Also supported preceding EBC440 core activities working as a design engineer. • Responsible for making sure the software and the hardware groups fully understood the content in new designs. • Designed and tested very tightly packed circuit boards. Design work includes high and low side driver circuits, Discrete I/Os, Microprocessor and ASIC support circuits, CAN, and Class 2 (J1850) communication circuits. Responsible for hardware testing including bench, failsafe, description, schematics, and MathCAD analysis. • Managed an open issues list to organize group efforts and attended weekly meeting with TRW global design team and suppliers to track changes and issues. • Worked with ECU suppliers to ensure proper design, pricing, and timing.

• Lead electrical design engineer for Control Actuation Systems (CAS) team. Actuator control includes the position feedback loop which contained Hall-Effect sensors (motor position) and Arc-Segment feedback potentiometers (output shaft position). • Designed and tested a very tightly packed 3-axis controller for a 2.75-inch missile. The design includes a H-Bridge switching power electronics to control the actuators’ brushless DC motors. • Oversaw detailed design of a complex multi-layer flex circuit which was new for our team’s design. • Responsible for the hardware and software testing and defined the interfaces to other subsystems. • Testing included evaluation of both the Actuator Electronics Unit (AEU) and actuator hardware, which together comprise the CAS. The functionality of the AEU was verified by monitoring the interrupt signals went between the microcontroller and peripherals, as well as the Pulse-Width-Modulations (PW and direction signals generated to control the amplifier for the actuator hardware.
