I am an independent consultant helping start‑ups and established companies develop challenging solutions for the sustainable production of fertilizers, bioplastics, fuels, chemicals, and foods at lab‑scale, pilot‑scale, and full‑scale operations. I specialize in all aspects of Carbon Capture and Transformation (CCT) technologies that enable the circular bioeconomy through gas fermentation.I am a technical leader with a strong background in chemistry, physics, engineering, and biology, and have excelled as an individual contributor, project manager, and team leader across the gas fermentation and data storage industries. My technical depth across these disciplines has enabled me to develop innovative solutions in multiple groundbreaking technology areas. As a team leader, I have consistently focused on IP generation and sustainability while executing on long‑term technology roadmaps.I began my career as a chemist and expanded my expertise into nanotechnology—including micromachining of sensors for scanning probe microscopes—and advanced optics, such as plasmonics and nanophotonics. These skills supported my contributions to the development of a next‑generation integrated optical/magnetic recording head for high‑density data storage applications, including HAMR (Heat‑Assisted Magnetic Recording).I later transitioned into the gas fermentation space, where I have developed scalable, sustainable processes to convert waste carbon into fuels, chemicals, and proteins for nutritional use. This work has included the development of novel circular‑economy products through the mitigation of industrial CO₂ emissions. My experience spans anaerobic and aerobic continuous gas fermentation, multi‑stage fermentation processes, and the use of bacteria, yeasts, and algae. I have also integrated CO₂ electrolyzer technologies to demonstrate the feasibility of 100% substrate carbon capture and conversion into chemicals.I bring a high degree of professional curiosity and enjoy continuously learning new technologies. I am particularly drawn to early‑stage technology development through prototyping of equipment and processes, while also working to optimize existing systems for commercial deployment. With a strong interest in both process economics and environmental impact, I have been actively involved in techno‑economic analysis (TEA) and life‑cycle assessment (LCA) efforts throughout my career.
