* Direct supervision of 40 unionized operators working in the barley and malt elevators and malt houses * Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of barley cleaners, malt cleaners, pelletizing equipment and related transport (conveyors) and dust collecting systems * Responsible for the safe and timely unloading of barley and the loading of malt and byproduct via rail or truck including adherence to quality guidelines and HACCP/ Good Manufacturing practices * Responsible for the inspection and upkeep of rail yard * Responsible for the day-to-day ordering of rail cars and maintaining good working relations with CP Rail * Responsible for the safe and timely operation of malt houses including process changes to malting to ensure quality parameters of customers are attained

* Short and long term production planning for the brewing department of a 1.8 million hl brewery to ensure adequate and timely supply of beer for packaging using Oracle ERP * Manpower scheduling * co-supervised 21-24 hourly union employees * Monitoring of day-to-day operations and providing direction and insight to brewing operators, quality assurance staff and packaging/planning managers * Operational problem solving using tools such as 5 Whys and root cause analysis * Working with National Office Engineering for design, installation and commissioning of capital projects which have included three ageing cellar expansions, fermentation cellar expansion, yeast room expansion and brew house upgrade * Identifying and implementing process improvements and GOPs in areas of energy and water reduction, reduction of extract losses, schedule attainment, quality, and brewing department capacity maximization * Responsible for resolving departmental labour issues using tools such as coaching, performance reviews and when required disciplinary action

* Liquor Control Board of Ontario (LCBO * Responsible for creating, monitoring and analyzing key performance indicators and process measurements for Supply Chain initiatives that are expected to deliver over $100 M in savings and increased revenue * Performed reviews and reengineering on several corporate processes * Improved the functionality and increased the analytical power of the existing activity-based costing model * Facilitated the automation of the periodic data uploads from legacy systems into ABC model using Oros Links Engine
