Responsible for P&L for 9 farms in total. 6 the CQ region 300ha Avocado and 50ha Macadamia and 3 properties in NSW 100ha Avocados • Drive a strong safety focus and ensure safety compliance and guidelines are adhered to and maintained. • Manage operational activities, whilst delivering financial outcomes within budget and managing commercial risks • Maintain and develop agronomic programs, technical programs and management strategies that ensure that maximum yields are achieved for all crops without compromising the optimum quality and size targets that maximise return per hectare. • Recruit, lead and develop a team of farming, maintenance, agronomic, pack shed and administration specialists to ensure operational deliverables are achieved. • Review work standards, work efficiency and work practices to ensure operational efficiencies are maintained and quality standards achieved. • Create, monitor, and adhere to 5-year farming strategy (farm regeneration/replanting, top working, trials, and new initiatives plus pack shed improvements) • Operate efficient and effective farming and pack shed operations to maximise production outcomes with a strong focus on quality & yield. • Cost management through yield and quality controls (management of fruit to minimise defects, wastage, and targeted premium grades) • Manage forecasting, budgeting, and maintaining accurate financial records (working with finance partner to understand and maximise financial performance on farm and pack shed)
