Chris Weston

As CEO of Thames Water, I'm focused on addressing the critical challenges with urgency and responsibility. My remit is clear: to lead Thames Water in fixing what needs fixing today, ensuring safe and reliable service for millions across the country. I am committed to improving infrastructure, enhancing operational performance, and addressing the real needs of customers. With a strong emphasis on realistic planning and execution, my leadership is about making steady progress and building a more sustainable water network. I am an experienced Chief Executive Officer with over 25 years in leadership roles in network and service-based businesses in the utilities and telecommunications space. I have a proven track record of working in regulated environments, turning around business performance and improving customer experience. Previous to Thames Water, I have held many senior leadership roles in the energy and infrastructure sectors. This includes CEO of Aggreko, an energy company operating in 45 countries. I have also worked at Centrica, the parent company of British Gas and was responsible for British Gas and Direct Energy, Centrica’s north American subsidiary. I served in the Armed Forces in the Royal Artillery and was a non-executive Director of the Royal Navy. I have also been a non-executive director of Barratt Homes since 2021 and hold a PhD and MBA from Imperial College London.
