I started with Reed and Mackay as an Event Manager managing events from small scale business meetings to large scale overseas conferences and incentive trips. I then went onto become an Account Manager responsible for a portfolio of clients within the legal, finance, insurance and pharmaceutical industries.

As an Event Manager for Informa Telecoms, I was responsible for the organisation and implementation of international business conferences. Within this role I travelled to various parts of the world including Europe and Africa and built up an ease and comfort when speaking with influential and articulate members of the business community.

* Key responsibilities include; * Global management for a one of HRG’s key customers with responsibility for business volumes in excess of $150 million across 80 countries. * To define, agree and deliver the long term strategy of customers whilst operating within a partnership to achieve the necessary balance for both parties. * To lead the global HRG team to ensure delivery of all targets and service standards whilst managing key relationships, at all levels, within both organisations. * Utilising all available information and data to highlight and drive key initiatives that will deliver financial and operational improvements on a local, regional and global level. * Managing the successful operation of HRG’s service across 80 global markets and ensuring all project and operational deadlines are met.

I have the ability to manage, utilise and leverage relationships from operational to board level in order to ensure that objectives are met and exceeded. With over 12 years’ experience in travel and event management I plan to develop this role within Capita Travel and Events and will lead a motivated and focused team to establish and maintain a relevant and effectively articulated consulting proposition – reflecting market place dynamics, depth of supplier chain knowledge and buying trends and drivers. By working effectively with the Account Management and Supply Management teams we can ensure timeliness and relevance of all activity, prioritising and focusing on delivery of customer value creation.
