Chris McCreary

Welcome! I hope you are having a great day! I have chosen to dedicate my life to putting smiles on people's faces and creating impact by attempting to ensure that those I come into contact with, become better versions of themselves. It all started the year after I graduated High School, I volunteer coached my old swim team that I had previously been the captain of. I was recruited by the pool we held practices at to become a swim instructor. What followed has been a life surrounded by the Aquatics and Entertainment Industry. I did all things water at the City of Mountlake Terrace. From teaching swim lessons, to lifeguarding, water aerobics, and more. When I relocated to Northern Idaho, I found a home as a Lifeguard at Triple Play Family Fun Park and their newly opened Raptor Reef Indoor Water Park. I quickly was put into a leadership role, eventually taking over as the Waterpark Manager. I excelled in many ways and I failed RELENTLESSLY! I am thankful for those failures in management, and in operation, as they allowed me to learn from my mistakes, as I always will, and they inspired growth. Concurrently while working at at Triple Play, I worked teaching swim lessons for my local fitness club. I ended up creating from scratch, the swim portion of a Triathlon Training program, for individuals ranging from beginner to advanced. I also taught general swim lessons to all ages and all skill levels. It has been through this lifetime of teaching that I became determined to break an all too common issue with coaching, and management. Teaching "inside the box" and expecting your students to fit inside it. I have never and will never teach the same thing the same way twice. Each person needs a unique way to allow information to become personal, impactful, and I have been blessed to fine tune this skill over the last 20 years. Utilizing this skill I have been involved in the hiring, coaching, and impactful growth of more than 2000 students, and employees. It has also assisted in my elevation to become General Manager of Triple Play Family Fun Park. Beyond coaching, I have also become proficient in facility management, with a facility that encompasses pumps, bowling equipment, attractions, rides, go karts, bumper cars, arcade games, virtual reality, and more. I operate my facility with the highest standard of cleanliness, but above all safety. Being the only facility in the history of our insurance company to have no suggestions on improvements needed.
