Part-time job whilst at university. I handled customer queries and complaints and promoted the sale of financial products, measured against closely monitored KPIs. I learned the importance of taking a client centric view and developed my ability to form relationships with customers and colleagues in a fast-paced and challenging environment. I was involved with training new members of staff and had the role of Corporate Social Responsibility "Champion", promoting environmental and charitable efforts.

Part-time internship during the first semester of my final year of university. I prepared balanced investment reports for CRMs, drawing on a variety of sources such as in-house research, external analysis and the financial press. I conducted research into Scottish mergers and acquisitions, identifying key parties involved, potential clients and intermediaries. I also organised the office Christmas drinks reception, receiving great feedback. Based on my performance, I earned an interview for a permanent full-time role and was offered the position.
