Working as a Lighting consultant, successfully developed a fully functional Lighting buck as a full scale prototype model for future lighting solutions. Also developed some new challenging Ambient/Contour lighting designs and challenged the manufacturability.

Management of Interior/Ambient and Auxiliary lighting for all European vehicles and also supporting Ford globally ensuring product portfolio is aligned and x-carline deployment can be achieved, ensuring program milestones are hit on time and cost targets are realised. Also involved in future generation lighting systems.

Resident system engineer responsible for managing a team of optical, mechanical and project engineers for the development of all Interior and Ambient lighting for the new C-Car whilst ensuring technical and aesthetic requirements were achieved. Interfacing with numerous suppliers to implement the lighting functions, these included Headliner, Instrument panel, Door trims and hard trim rear panels.

Responsible for the engineering and testing department for the Automotive industry, this included Land Rover, Lotus, Rover, Aston Martin and all new product introduction for the development of Exterior and Interior lighting.

Started initially as a Design Engineer and gained excellent experience from working with German Engineers, then successfully developed all Interior console lighting for the new Land Rover discovery and Range Rover sport from concept to Job1 +90. Also developed “Head Up Display” collision warning device for Volvo. Then went on to support Hella development sites in Shanghai and Changchun to set design company design guidelines and to stabilise the Global customer programs.
