Following the sale of Umbro by Nike Inc to Iconix Brand Group I moved to Diamond Icon which is the Design, Development and Sourcing arm of Iconix Brand Group. Initially as Production Manager for Umbro and now including other International brands such as Danskin, Starter and MUFC fan wear. • Manage the Apparel, Footwear and Equipment Supply base in 12 countries including Bangladesh, China, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and Turkey. Ensuring Diamond Icon have a supply base that is fit for purpose in relation to price, flexibility, technical capabilities and reduced lead-times • Ensure 95% on time delivery performance stretching to 98% across all categories. • Managing the production of both Replica kits and professional spec footwear for Umbro’s key Sports Marketing assists such as Everton FC, West Ham United FC, PSV Eindhoven and a number of Premier League and International footballers. • Working with the Supply Chain Director to perform supply base risk assessments and produce an action plan that shows specific actions that will be taken to manage and reduce risk. • Hold monthly meetings with CEO & Supply Chain Director to review capacity loading, supplier performance, future supply base requirements and associated initiatives. • Working closely with both the Creative and Development teams on product requirements to ensure the company has a supply base that can produce products at the right quality and price. Also working with the licensees/customers to ensure we are looking at possible countries of manufacture that gives our key licensees/customers benefits such as duty savings. • Achieve 100% buy ready status by sales order cut-off date on all product categories by working with closely with the Development team Managers. Take specific actions that ensure products are buy-ready and placed with suppliers on-time
