Cloud Storage and Platform Team: As a part of the Cloud storage team, my responsibilities include designing and architecting a content-aware storage layer at Box. Some of the projects, I worked on: - Design & implementation of a selection service for filers to store incoming content. - Work on improving resiliency of hybrid storage by flipping the sequence of incoming writes, to first write to cloud storage, followed by writes to filers, and potentially running tasks to backfill missed writes. This increased the availability of our platform. - Design & implementation of migrating > 100s of petabytes of content from one cloud provider to another, which was critical for saving costs for Box

Datrium builds its own unique filesystem to store data and metadata efficiently. Since we have a split provisioning architecture, the layout of the data and metadata is where our technology is unique and performant. I work as a part of the file systems team on the implementation and design of metadata storage. Along with that, some of the features I work on, include snapshots and archival of data, ability to operate on (and retrieve, browse, etc.) files within a virtual machine, efficient replication of data to another on-premise or cloud destination, etc.

A part of the Android platform team working on improving Android storage sub-system. The Android framework sends lots of random writes to the flash device causing a significant decrease in the performance of applications. With our solution, we would enable the flash to yield the best performance for storage intensive applications

A member of the RTOS and Debuggers team at Cadence (prev. Tensilica Inc.). Maintenance of Xtensa GNU Debugger & integrating it with open source GDB distributions. I also maintain trace analyzers for Xtensa architectures (TRAX) and have implemented software libraries to control tracing of an Xtensa core from some other external core.
