TECHNICAL METALLURGIST  Managed test work procedures, coordinating with junior staff generating technical reports and presenting findings to stakeholders.  Experienced in setting up and conducting metallurgical test procedures suiting specific processes (flotation, leaching and solvent extraction) for troubleshooting, reagent selection and plant optimization.  Identify and implement technical projects, new technology and identify areas of improvement in the processing Department. Research and conduct laboratory test works (Flotation, Autoclave, Leaching-Solvent extraction), plant trials, plant surveys, pilot plants and present findings to stakeholders.  Monitor usage and conduct routine checks of consumable stocks  Ensure safety guidelines are adhered to. Ensure personnel are adequately inducted in their work area and are aware of all workplace rules and critical procedures. PLANT METALLURGIST  Implemented new technologies and plant modifications to improve performance.  Evaluated process performance using technical data such as mineralogy, plant surveys, pilot plant results, and laboratory tests.  Created mass balance simulation models for troubleshooting and plant optimization.  Designed new plant control philosophies and flow diagrams to enhance process control.  Communicated effectively with operational and maintenance groups to obtain buy-in for metallurgical projects.  Conducted inspections of crucial equipment during shutdown periods and investigated failures.  Oversaw laboratory and plant equipment maintenance and ensured optimal operation.  Provided leadership and mentorship to process supervisors, process operators, graduate metallurgists and metallurgical assistants.
