As an extended-day teacher at TCS, I designed STEAM-based projects, workshops, and team-building activities for small classes (15-20) of elementary school students. Throughout my time I also taught 4th Grade, Early Learning, and 2nd Grade. I worked TCS summer camp which included escorting and monitoring student safety on field trips.

Co-taught several lessons for senior Practical English course (~300 students). Presented two guest lectures for KG s weekly Chapel Service. Facilitated a workshop on racism in the U.S. for the KG Global Leaders Program (~80 students). Assisted the KG English Speakers Society with speech contest preparation.

Create and conduct English language curriculum for 53 Japanese orphaned university students in cross-cultural dormitory setting. Aid TOEIC and TOEFL test preparation. Manage international intern team and support community outreach programming, summer camps, and fundraising.

Tutor Middle School and High School students in math, SSAT, PSAT, ACT prep, reading comprehension, and writing.

* Tutor (Fall 2015-2016) * Tutor refugee student (high school) three hours a week in tutee’s home * Formulate weekly lesson plans and supplemental practice to tutee’s current curriculum * Summer Camp Counselor (June-August 2014) * Organized lesson plans and taught classes in Literacy and Math for local refugee students ages 8-9 * Led two extracurricular classes in hip hop dance and chorus for refugee students ages 6-13 * Monitored and counseled students on field trips to local park, orchard, and YMCA

Support freshman residents, especially those of a racial minority, in and outside of dormitory halls with the transition between High School and College and navigating the Brown University community - Organize open workshops per semester on topics related to systems of oppression of marginalized identities (i.e. racism, heterosexism, classism, sexism, ableism, imperialism, etc.) - Trained for skills involving conflict resolution, cultural competency, addressing issues related to mental health, encouraging safety against intoxication or substance abuse, advocating sexual health, and future counselor recruitment

Transcribe previously recorded data on European-American families - Analyze trends in social dynamics between mother and child and attitudes towards learning.

I'm a full time student at Brown University and have been actively involved in the performing arts since my freshman year. I run a dance company that I've participated in for my entire undergraduate career, I am a songwriter and vocalist in a student music collective known as "richard," and I've recently engaged in on-campus theatrical productions. In addition, my commitment to social justice and student/youth advocacy and engagement has continued to develop and heavily influence my coursework and involvement outside of Brown. I aspire to find avenues that combine both of these interests post-graduation.
