CS Education Research
I develop the backend for a mobile web app designed to support an innovative introductory computer science curriculum. This curriculum introduces fundamental machine learning and AI concepts, with an emphasis on using AI tools in a culturally responsive manner. I also collaborate with our community partners, the William Grose Center, to bring these programs to African American students in the Seattle Public Schools. Our goal is to expand access to foundational computer science and machine learning education.

CSE 374 Part-Time Lecturer
I am a summer instructor for UW CSE 374: Intermediate Programming Concepts and Tools. This course is intended for non-major students that introduces fundamental software engineering concepts such as bash commands, version control, specification writing, testing, debugging, and lower-level programming (C/C++). I teach lecture three times per week with additional office hours sessions to provide student support outside of class. I also coordinate with three course TAs to help the course run smoothly.

RFID (Backscatter) Research
I collaborated with a PhD student on a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) project called "ZeroScatterBLE". We implemented Zero-Added-Component backscatter communication using existing FPGA Digital I/O pins. The project demonstrated how the ZeroScatter backscatter signal from a Lattice iCE40 FPGA can be received by a BLE scanner on mobile devices.

UW CSE 12x/14x Teaching Assistant Coordinator
Seattle, Washington, United States
I mediated between 6 instructors and nearly 100 teaching assistants to manage logistics across three introductory CSE courses. I also co-hired and trained approximately 30 new TAs every academic quarter, and welcomed them into the TA community. I planned frequent social events for TAs on and off-campus as well.

Undergraduate CSE 12x/14x Teaching Assistant
Seattle, Washington, United States
As a TA for the introductory computer programming courses at the UW, I work with up to hundreds of students to build their foundation in programming for future courses and majors of their interest. Currently a TA for Computer Programming II (UW CSE 143), I lead a teaching section twice per week for my assigned group of about 15-20 students to reinforce the lecture material. Additionally, I host office hours to help students with their conceptual understanding and homework assignments. I frequently monitor the course discussion board to answer student questions, and I work closely alongside the professor to ensure the course runs smoothly!

UW CSE 12x/14x Section Lead TA
Seattle, Washington, United States
I helped teaching assistant prepare materials for their small group teaching sections. I lead discussions during staff meetings on different approaches for teaching the concepts of the week.

UW CSE 143 Community Coordinator Lead
Seattle, Washington, United States
I also support new TAs adjusting to a new work environment by acting as a reliable point of contact for their questions and concerns. Also I prepare TAs to lead exam review sessions by creating and distributing sample exam materials. I promote a welcoming and friendly TA community by leading fun icebreakers at the beginning of each staff meeting.

Software Engineer Intern
Redmond, Washington, United States
I implemented a fuzz testing harness for Universal Print Windows components using the OneFuzz testing platform. Fuzz tests expose vulnerabilities in a system by intentionally injecting bad and malformed inputs and reporting any failures. I also migrated the in-memory cache solution in the Universal Print service to use a memory cache provided by .NET, enabling auto-cleanup of expired cache entries. This new approach improves the efficiency of memory consumption. This also supports an upcoming feature that would require the storage of heavier objects in the cache. I created a prototype that integrated OpenAI APIs in Universal Print Graph APIs to display printer health summaries by feeding printer state metadata into LLM models. Automating the generation of health status summaries reduces the time and effort required by the admins to manually compile and interpret data, improving efficiency in other areas.

Software Engineering Intern
Seattle, Washington, United States
I was a software engineering intern in the Product Experience and Engineering Lab (PXEL) division within West Monroe. I worked on the backend (Java) for a client product regarding an online car leasing service. I also collaborated with other interns on a side project, GraphQL, utilizing C# and Postman.

Mathematics Tutor
I tutor Algebra 2 to a high school student.

Visitor Experience Guide
Bellevue, Washington, United States
I maintained the museum by cleaning and reorganizing the various galleries and classrooms. I led "Kid Kits" which intended to teach children basic STEM-related concepts. In addition, one of the most enjoyable events was hosting children’s birthday parties. Sometimes I worked with groups of 20+ adults and children when I led party activities with robots, chemistry experiments with slime, or artistic clay creations. I also managed patrons at the front desk of the museum, gaining valuable sales experience and money management skills.
