Chirag Shah

Chirag Shah is the Chief Financial Officer at Motive. Backed by Kleiner Perkins, Greenoaks, Index Ventures, IVP, Insight Partners, Google Ventures, Scale Venture Partners, and a number of other leading investors, Motive builds technology to improve the safety, productivity, and profitability of businesses that empower the physical economy. Prior to joining Motive, Chirag spent three years at Kong, a leading infrastructure software vendor that helps organizations connect APIs and microservices natively across and within clouds. While at Kong, Chirag helped the business triple annual recurring revenue (ARR) and successfully complete its Series E round of fundraising at an increased valuation. Before Kong, Chirag spent over a decade at Cornerstone OnDemand, a global leader in talent management software. He served in a variety of operating and financial capacities at Cornerstone, and was most recently the company’s Chief Financial Officer. During Chirag’s tenure with the company, Cornerstone grew from less than $30M in ARR to nearly $900M in ARR. Chirag was responsible for leading Cornerstone’s successful initial public offering in March 2011, as well its take-private sale transaction to Clearlake Capital for $5.2 billion in October 2021. Prior to joining Cornerstone in 2009, Chirag was an investment banker focused on mergers, acquisitions, and restructurings. Chirag holds a B.S. from Georgetown University and an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
