Chirag Patel

Chirag Patel is a Partner at ETS Group which comprises of Emirates Transformer and Switchgear Ltd (ETSL, UAE), IEO Transformatoren B.V (IEO, Netherlands), Patel Trading Company ME LLC in UAE, NST trading company in Oman, AAMTC trading company in Abudhabi UAE, Energo Transformer and Switchgear PLC in Ethiopia, Pan Africa Transformer and Switchgear LLC in Kenya, HS Switchgear FZCO in UAE, and HS Energy FZCO in UAE. Prior to these businesses, he had co-founded Avansys in the field of IT software and services and later sold it to focus on the family business in the Power and Energy sector. He is on the Board that manages the Family Office (FO) with a sizable AUM. The FO is involved in future strategies of the investment portfolios across various asset classes -Real Estate, Fixed Income, Public and Private Equities across US, Europe and Asia markets. He is an active Board member of the P.D Patel Family Charity Foundation which was started by his late Grandfather and Father. As a Philanthropist, he plays an active role in over seeing new initiatives and past donations for Hospitals, Colleges, Schools, etc. across the world. He is the appointed CEO of the BAPS Hindu Mandir- Abu Dhabi, a spiritual project that was very close to his late father Mr Rohit Patel (Ex Chairman of BAPS Hindu Mandir - Abu Dhabi). The Charity foundation is a large contributor to this Mandir. in 1997, Chirag started his career working at Siemens Corporation (U.S.A) in the Automation division and was a certified Application Engineer, where he specialized in factory automation software programming, networking and hardware implementation for key Fortune 500 accounts in the North East region. Chirag graduated from Virginia Tech with a double degree in Electronics Engineering and Mathematics, with a concentration in Telecommunications, Computer Science and Power. 2001 - 2009, He was a partner at Match Point Tennis Academy in Dubai along with Zeeshan Ali (ex Davis cup player for India). He also played NCAA tennis 1st Division in the US for Virginia Tech from 1993-1997. From 1991-1993, he along with his twin brother Chirayu Patel were Number 1 and Number 2 tennis players in the UAE.
