Led the modernization and integration of legacy VSAM-based data systems by building a scalable Azure data platform. The project aimed to decouple mainframe dependencies by extracting VSAM files, transforming legacy data structures, and loading them into modern SQL-based systems to enable standardized reporting and analytics.

Implemented an intelligent system to reduce inventory waste by identifying items nearing expiry and triggering automated discounts. Developed and optimized SQL procedures and SSIS packages for seamless ETL between inventory, POS, and waste systems. Automated workflows ensured real-time updates, data quality, and timely notifications. Designed event-driven processes and interactive dashboards using Power BI to track sales impact and waste metrics. Integrated forecasting models to predict trends and optimize discount strategies. Ensured regulatory compliance through accurate waste tracking and reporting. Collaborated with stakeholders to align insights with business goals, improving inventory turnover and minimizing loss.
