Chingcha Vang humbly serves as the Hmong American Peace Academy’s Middle School and High School Social Studies Instructional Coach. In this role, he provides teachers within his department the support and guidance to further develop effective teaching. Chingcha also completed two years as a corps member with Teach for America, a national youth service organization with strategic and aggressive plans to close the achievement gap and end high school drop outs in urban areas. Chingcha received his Master's Degree in Educational Policy and Leadership from Marquette University in 2018. He also received his Bachelor’s Degree in Southeast Asian Studies with a certificate in Asian American Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2015. During his time in school, he actively sought out and engaged in organizations such as the Hmong American Students Association and Asian American Student Union, where they deepened his understanding of his identity and how that contributes to society.

Coming from a low-income background and working with communities of similar nature but from a vastly different environment from the one I've grown up in, has provided me with the fire and passion to continue working against systemic oppression and provide a quality education for my high school students that I taught.

Chingcha Vang served as an Assistant Manager at LIDS Sports Group in Jacksonville, Florida. He gained valuable experience working with customers of all ages, business management, and training/onboarding new team members.

* Organized library materials such as books, microfilm, pamphlets, and government issues * according to the call number system * Assisted patrons in locating and retrieving library materials * Collaborated with supervisor to set and manage ambitious goals for individual projects * Developed leadership skills in by training and mentoring new team members * Operated a team of three by delegating tasks to achieve time-sensitive projects

* Execute all aspects of college recruitment—pipeline development, outreach, one-on-one cultivation, event planning, relationship building, hiring * Mobilize professional alumni and university faculty to engage in events, networking opportunities, and classroom or regional site visits * Manage and develop a team of Campus Campaign Coordinators to reach rigorous weekly goals, create innovative events and marketing strategies, and support pipeline development * Build relationships with high level faculty and university gatekeepers to generate candidate recommendations and partner on campus wide events and initiatives
