At Tamara, I have been instrumental in shaping the company's technological landscape and driving significant growth and expansion. Collaborating with other vertical heads and the product team, my key contributions include: ✔ Leading Technology Development and Strategy: Orchestrating the architecture and strategic direction of technology development from its inception. My focus has been on modern stacks and approaches, such as Cloud-based solutions, Kubernetes (K8s), Dev-Sec-GitOps, Agile methodologies, AI, Automation, Domain-Driven Design, Data-Driven development with Event Sourcing, and Micro/Domain Services. ✔ Building and Scaling the Development Team: Successfully building, developing, and maintaining a dynamic development team, scaling from 0 to over 200 engineers, including in-house and vendors across tech hubs in Saudi, Ho Chi Minh City, Dubai, Egypt, and Berlin. This effort was pivotal in propelling Tamara to 🦄 status in Saudi Arabia in a remarkably short timeframe. ✔ Strategic Collaboration with Product Team: Ensuring a tight alignment between technology and product strategy by working closely with the product team. This collaboration has been key in developing features that resonate with the company’s vision, roadmap, and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs). ✔ Supporting Fundraising and Due Diligence: Actively supporting the company during fundraising processes by leading the technical due diligence efforts. This includes preparing and presenting security, scalability, infrastructure, and engineering practices to investors and auditors - ensuring transparency, trust, and alignment with long-term growth.

Westwing is committed to transforming every home into a beautiful space and operates in 11 European countries, providing a leading e-commerce system with a mission to inspire. ✔️ I had the opportunity to lead an Agile team, overseeing the development and maintenance of both the voucher service and customer care tools. ✔️ We successfully rebuilt the Voucher Service from the ground up, applying industry-best architecture and practices. This platform now effectively handles tens of millions of codes each month. ✔️ Collaborating closely with the product team, I played a key role in the management of our OKRs. ✔️ I also engaged with other teams such as CAP, OMS, and Marketing to ensure the successful implementation of related tasks.

DKK stands at the forefront of the industry as the first company in Germany offering Rental Deposit Insurance. This unique model allows tenants to secure insurance in lieu of a typical deposit, providing landlords with a certificate as a guarantee. ✔️ In an Agile team, I function as a full-stack developer, contributing to the maintenance, design, and development of the web product and associated systems. ✔️ I’ve had the privilege to successfully deliver projects in partnership with Allianz and Fidor Bank. ✔️ Working directly under the CTO, I’ve been instrumental in redesigning and implementing CQRS and Event Sourcing for insurance applications. ✔️ Additionally, I’ve taken on the responsibility of interviewing potential candidates as part of the company’s hiring process.

In a bid to expand my technical expertise and gain exposure to global tech practices, I relocated to Germany this year and joined the Foodora backend team. As a Senior Engineer, I contribute to the maintenance and development of the Vendor portal and app for restaurants. This transition from an Engineering Manager to a hands-on role has been pivotal in standardizing my technical knowledge and acquiring experience in a large tech organization. ✔ Work with an Agile team to maintain, design, and develop the vendor partner systems ✔ Launched the vendor dish management system to collect dish information based on the legal requirement ✔ Dockerize the applications in order to decouple them to reach microservices ✔ Setup Kubernetes deployment for the applications

I was part of the initial team at helloPay - a Rocket Internet venture - which has since become an innovative payment solution in Southeast Asia. Starting when we were a team of only three engineers, I played a critical role in growing the organization to nearly 50 employees. Our work revolutionized the way payments and money transfers are executed, both online and offline. The company was acquired and is now operating successfully under Alipay’s ownership, continuing to make significant strides in the fintech industry. ✔ Overseeing scrum development on the helloPay system across 4 scrum teams (20 engineers) ✔ Liaising between development, DevOps, and Release Management Teams to design and optimize deployment processes ✔ Advising design teams to transform designs into web templates and integrate them with the backend ✔ Working with the management board on organizational and product strategies ✔ Headed 3 highly critical projects to provide technical guidance and organizing the work for internal and external development teams ✔ Integrated helloPay with over 10 new payment providers across South East Asia ✔ Built the Admin back-end system for transactions, promotion program, settlement... management ✔ Managed hiring and onboarding of new developers, helping to grow the organization from 3 to around 50 developers in 2 years

As a Team Leader at this organization, I led Scrum development teams of 15 engineers and reported directly to the CEO. One of my key responsibilities was the research and development of a UAV (Unmanned Aircraft Vehicle) Design Tool, leveraging JavaFx and .NET Framework to enhance functionality. Working alongside the Operations Team, I also played a part in setting up a Git server for source version control, significantly improving our project management processes. Though my time on this project was relatively brief, it was an incredibly enriching experience filled with learning and enjoyment, proving to be both professionally and personally rewarding.
