Hi, I'm Jan Feng, a Cloud Solution Architect (Big Data) at Huawei Technologies Malaysia. Although I graduated with a degree in Chemical Engineering, I have transitioned into data engineering and cloud technologies. It has been an incredible journey, and I believe there's much more ahead! I am logical, analytical, and possess strong reasoning skills. This is evident from my participation in multiple chemical engineering-related innovation and data analytics competitions during my bachelor's degree. These competitions emphasized the importance of creating solutions that are not only innovative but also easy to maintain and finance. The world is a fast-paced and demanding place. Developed data and AI platform by integrating data warehouse with machine learning platform and deployed an end-to-end data pipeline; Successfully saved clients an average of 1 hour per week since the manual integration work is automated. 2. Deployed CI/CD pipeline by using Bitbucket involving container registry (SWR) and Kubernetes cluster (CCE), implemented automated workflows from Docker image building to deployment by using Helm Charts. 3. Provided over 20 technical consultations and delivered custom cloud solutions covering cloud environment configuration, security and networking best practices to customers across multiple regions including Asia Pacific, Latin America, Africa and Middle East. 4. Designed and implemented cloud architecture and security solutions involving compute, networking (DNS/VPN/VPC), load balancing, firewalls, identity and access management, data security (data masking, data encryption for data at rest and in transit), and log monitoring.

Research Assistant

1. Developed a mobile application for Mobile Heavy Metal Ion Sensing research by using Flutter (Dart) for frontend and Python for backend processing; The application successfully eases the data collection process for researchers and improved the model accuracy by 25% as more users contributed experimental data through the app. 2. Conducted fixed bed reactor operations optimization by using a differential evolution method in Python; The optimization model showed enhanced cost efficiency through optimized temperature, reactor sizing, and raw material flow management, and thus successfully convinced the lecturer to adopt Python as an alternative tool to MATLAB due to its robust library support. 3. Provided IT infrastructure support for the Microbial Fuel Cell Project, successfully setting up the IoT infrastructure for the prototype to enable remote monitoring and live data recording of the biosensor; Successfully saved approximately 5 hour per week time for the project leader and researchers by eliminating the need for in-person lab visits.

Process Engineering Intern

1. Wire Bond Assessment: -Conducted microscopic evaluations: ball height, ball diameter, stitch length, stitch width, and loop height. -Performed bond strength tests: pull tests, ball shear tests, and stitch pull tests. 2. Device Change: - Optimized machine settings and programmed specifications related to bond pad, die, and lead frame location. - Changed expired capillary and wires with diameters less than 2mil (50.8μm). - Executed machine test runs and employed statistical process controls to validate bond quality. 3.Project (Critical Parts Monitoring): - Regularly monitor critical parts of the wire bonder machine: wire clamp gap, Pro Cu Kit, and Window Clamp Top Plate (WCTP) using a microscope. - Adjusted the wire clamp gap to ensure it is in acceptable range. - Replaced any defected pieces, mostly Pro Cu Kits. - Cleaned WCTPs that are contaminated by silver or copper, using methane sulfonic acid and potassium hydroxide. 4.Maintenance: - Cooperated with vendors, providing insights on equipment issues, and facilitating problem resolution.
