The Israeli Association for Ethics in Artificial Intelligence (IAEAI) is dedicated to exploring the ethical dimensions of AI and guiding the AI community towards responsible practices. By collaborating with researchers, developers, policymakers, and end-users, the IAEAI seeks to establish a solid ethical foundation for AI technologies that will benefit society for generations to come.

STEAM BLOOM bring onboard leaders and students who together bring years of experience, passion for technology and entrepreneurship, and strong community service engagement. The all-female new Board team will positively impact STEAM Bloom’s future direction of focusing on equitable access to CS education (especially AI and related areas) to diverse and underrepresented communities (i.e., females, non-binaries, minorities and underrepresented geographies).

I was born and raised in India where I was constantly exposed to various branches of yoga. As a result, yoga became an integral part of my life. After moving to the U.S., I started practicing hatha yoga on a regular basis. Inspired by the beautiful transformation that yoga has brought in my own life and the lives of my loved ones, I aspired to become a yoga instructor. I successfully completed 200 hours of registered yoga teacher training (RYT) in hatha yoga in 2013 from Blue Heron Wellness Center (Silver Spring, MD). I co-founded Yoga Medley with a couple of like-minded individuals and I continue to practice and teach yoga in various capacities.

I serve as the Director of Scientific Outreach for an over a century-old not-for -profit society, the American Society for Investigative Pathology (ASIP), with close to 1K active members. My current responsibilities entail leveraging resources through partnerships within and across societies and disciplines. I design, lead, and implement engaging programs for the scientific as well as professional development of the current members. I closely collaborate within the society to envision and implement programs to expand the membership base as well as the readership base for the society-managed journals. I also actively identify hot timely topics and emerging trends to be featured for the benefit of the global readers of the ASIP flagship monthly publication, The American Journal of Pathology (AJP), and the sister bi-monthly publication, The Journal of Molecular Diagnostics (JMD). These journals publish compelling peer-reviewed articles ranging from basic, translational, and clinical investigations that showcase complex mechanisms of pathogenesis of various diseases and/or lay strong basis for emerging research in various scientific disciplines, including the latest expansion to include foundational studies that incorporate deep learning and artificial intelligence. I also lead JMD continuing medical education (CME) program.

Experienced Inter-Disciplinary Life Science Professional Building Enduring Relationships in a Dynamic Work Environment

Scientific Editor for The American Journal of Pathology (AJP) and The Journal of Molecular Diagnostics (JMD). Performs Quality Review (QR) of writing deliverables with minimum supervision to ensure timely publication with content integrity and consistency per Journal standards. Typical deliverables include: • Abstracts • Short Communications • Technical Advances • Research Manuscripts • Reviews and Mini-Reviews • Commentaries • Biological Perspectives • Editorials • Special Articles/Theme Issues • Continuing Medical Education (CME) Material • Monthly Features (print and online) for AJP and/or JMD Collaborates with Editors-in-chief, Senior Associate Editors, Associate Editors, Authors, and/or Journal Staff Members to determine timely topics, identify subject matter experts, solicit scientific deliverables, regularly follow-up for timely scheduling and publication, quality review of scheduled deliverables, scientific writing and editing, and peer review. Manages document QR timelines for assigned projects to ensure timely compilation of Journal issues per Standard Operating Procedures and Journal publication standards, on time. Proofreads/edits assigned documents, applying correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling following CSE, AMA, and Journal style guidelines for QR. Maintains familiarity with current industry practices and requirements that affect document management and quality review of scientific writing deliverables. Collaborates with publishing and marketing partner for media outreach and Journal publicity.
