Optimizing the synthesis of drug-loaded supercarriers for the treatment of metastatic melanoma through a nanoscale-packaged prodrug that activates specifically within tumor cells. This targeted approach increases treatment efficacy, reduces side effects, and enhances patients' quality of life.

- Tutored 15+ students ranging from elementary to high schoolers in piano, violin, math, music theory - Created additional exercises for students, designed digital flashcards and diagrams to boost efficiency in students’ learning

- Shadowed Dr. Michael Chan at the Hong Kong International Cardiology Center; observed consultations related to arrhythmia, hypertension, cardiomegaly, thyrotoxicosis, etc. - Performed echocardiograms, electrocardiograms, CT scan, and treadmill stress test on patients; utilized Holter monitors and 24-hour blood pressure tests to monitor and record patients’ heart activity - Demonstrated the understanding and procedures of fundus photos for diabetic retinopathy, HbA1c tests and glucose tests - Checked-in patients, measured and recorded patient vitals (blood pressure, heart rate, blood sugar, height/weight) - Obtained and recorded patient histories, insurance documents; compiled and maintained medical charts and related documents, entered patient data into computerized charting systems and databases

- Shadowed 30+ hours under Dr. Lawrence Chin at the PAMF’s Internal Medicine Department, observing patient consultations, learning physician’s clinical reasoning and decision-making processes, and implementing holistic care plans for patients - Actively participated in various cancer screening tests such as PAP smear test and prostate test, honed skills in administering and interpreting tests; recorded vital signs and conducted comprehensive physical examinations - Gained skills in understanding patient charts, and laboratory results such as levels of A1C, PSA, and electrocardiograms
